LUCKNOW: A speeding truck trampled an RTO's enforcement constable and contractual worker driver during a vehicle search near Madhavpur Chhatauna on Lucknow-Ballia highway in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning. Due to this both died on the spot. After getting information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Somen Burma reached the spot and after doing Panchnama sent the body for post-mortem. ARTO Rakesh Kumar Verma was searching the vehicles after getting down from the vehicle near Madhavpur Chhatauna village of Gosaiganj police station area on Lucknow-Ballia highway on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, a speeding truck coming from Sultanpur towards Kadipur crushed the ARTO driver Abdul Mobin resident of Shastri Nagar police station Kotwali Nagar and constable Arun Singh resident of BKT Lucknow. In the accident, the driver of the contracted vehicle, Mobin and the constable of the Enforcement Department, Arun Singh, died on the spot. The ARTO vehicle was also damaged in the incident. As soon as the information of the incident was received, SP Somen Burma along with the jurisdictional officer Jaisinghpur Krishnakant Saroj and SHO Sandeep Rai investigated. At the same time, the police are investigating the incident by taking possession of the truck. ARTO Rakesh Kumar Verma has informed that he was returning from Kadipur after checking with the team. The car was parked on the way to take a short time, in the meantime, this accident happened. SHO Sandeep Kumar Rai said that the truck driver is said to be absconding.
