Mumbai:Thursday,June 23,2016: Rupee gains by 15 paise to 67.33 against the US dollar in early trade today. As per the dealers said, "Moreover, weakening of dollar overseas against other currencies also supported the domestic currency"
"Gain in stock market in early trade also helped rupee strengthen against the dollar", they added.
Yesterday, rupee had ended flat at 67.48 against the USD on fag-end selling of the greenback by bankers and exporters in view of a weak dollar in overseas markets.
However, the benchmark BSE Sensex recovered 47.92 points or 0.17 % to trade at 26,813.57 in early trade.
