Rupee decline 11 paise against dollar, looses its ground

In early trade today due to higher demand for the dollar from importers amid a lower opening in the domestic equity market, the rupees downturn to 11 paise with 66.64 against the US currency. Dealers aspect the rupee's decline to increased demand for the greenback and the latter it overseas the strengthening.

The rupee had closed 3 paise lower at 66.53 against the dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange yesterday on fag-end demand for the American currency.

However, the BSE Sensex benchmark decline 43.81 points, or 0.17 percent to 25,241.56 in today’s early trade.
