As the demand of American products and foreign capital outflows the rupee today by the sunrise fell 8 paise per dollar, making it 99.93 rupees per 1 dollar.
The rupee had closed higher by 4 paise to 66.85 yesterday on the back of fresh selling of the US dollar by exporters.
The lower opening in the domestic equity market and the demand from importers and banks hiked the US currency today. The rupee stood 66.85 per 1 US dollar by the time of closing, yesterday.
