In the early opening trade today the rupee opened nearly 6 paise higher at 66.75 against the dollar. The domestic equity market also opened in green. The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 80 points, or 0.28 per cent, up at 28,912.96 in early trade, while the 50-share NSE Nifty index was up 26.50 points, or 0.30 per cent, up at 8,924.05.
