MUMBAI;Tuesday;June 28, 2016:The rupee gains 23 paise to 67.72 against the US dollar in the early trade today. As per the dealers said, “Besides, weakness in the dollar against some other currencies overseas gave the rupee some muscle”.
On Monday, Rupee had closed steady at 67.95 per dollar on alternate bouts of selling and buying of the greenback during persistent concerns over the UK leaving the European Union. However, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose 82.32 points, or 0.31 %, at 26,485.28 in early trade today.
