Russian and Iranian foreign ministers back original version of Iran nuclear deal

MOSCOW: Russian and Iranian foreign ministers support the original version of the Iran nuclear agreement. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke on the phone with his Iranian colleague Hossein Amir Abdollahian about the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that top diplomats repeated their united position on Monday to restore the nuclear deal in its original balanced language, as agreed by the United Nations Security Council.

According to reports, they highlighted that this is the only way to guarantee the rights and interests of all partners in the pact, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
