“Sad and Disappointing” Amala Paul denies entry in Temple because of ‘Religious Discrimination

Amala Paul is one of the most renowned faces in the South Industry. In 2019, the actress stunned her fans by taking a sabbatical from films while she was at the peak of her career that the actress decided to take a break from films. Amla once again started working on the film. She made the headlines after making allegations on the Industry earlier and now she is in the news as she accused the Temple authority of religious discrimination.

Amala has alleged that she was denied entry in the Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva temple. Amala claimed that she was allegedly refused 'darshan' by temple authorities, citing customs that allow only Hindus inside the premises. Amala offered her prayers to the deity from the road in front of the temple. She took to social media and wrote, "Felt the spirit even though she didn't see the Goddess".

She further narrated the incident and said. "It is sad and disappointing that religious discrimination still exists in 2023. I couldn't go near the Goddess but could feel the spirit from a distance. I hope there will be a change in religious discrimination soon. The time will come and we all will be treated equally and not on the basis of religion."  The official speaking about the incident said, "Many devotees of other religions have come to visit the temple, but no one knows that. However, when a celebrity comes, it becomes controversial."

On the work front, Amala Paul was last seen in Cadaver, which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The actress recently announced her upcoming film titled Teacher. She also has two more Malayalam films, Christopher and Aadujeevitham, in the pipeline.
