New Delhi: On Wednesday,the Election Commission (EC) barred Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate from Bhopal Pragya Singh Thakur from campaigning for three days for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Thakur will not be able to campaign for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from 6 am tomorrow. The poll panel banned the BJP candidate for her remark that she is proud of Babri Masjid's demolition. responding to the ban, Thakur said that she did not want to comment on the issue. he further added that she respects the poll panel. The BJP candidate had said, “We had removed a blot from the country. We had gone to demolish the structure. I feel extremely proud that God gave me this opportunity and I could do that. According to reports, in response to EC’s notice over her remarks she admitted that she had made the remarks, but further said that it was out of context.
