SAG: Mary, Pooja, Sarita quiched the honour of Gold Medal

Shillong: India Grabbed All Three Gold Medals in women boxing championship in 12th South Asian Games on Tuesday. Marry Kom and Pooja Rani knockout their respective opponent where Sarita Devi survived a little. All three women boxer grabbed Gold Medal and gave India a top honour in South Asian Games.

Talking about the match, a super fighter and five time world champion Mary Kom comeback trail after recovering from a shoulder injury , London Olympic bronze medalist. Packed a powerful punch against her Shrilankan opponent Anusha Kodituwakku. Marry landing her some powerful punch by which Anusha lost her balance and injured her right knee and forced her to take a medical break. After a break Mary again landed her thunderous punch and sent her almost out of the ring. After winning match Marry said “after children, the comeback is not easy. I still do training to motivate myself, and I am thankful to my entire team”.

While Pooja Rani signed off the campaign in style when she overwhelmed Nilanthi Andaraweer by a TKO in about lasting only one round.

When Sarita Devi returned to ring after one year of ban, faced a stiff challenge from another Lankan opponent in M Vidushika Prabadhi. But after a little survival she finally won the match. And India clinched the top honour of having all three Gold Medal.
