New Delhi: Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik has been issued a show-cause notice. The notice was issued by the Wrestling Federation of India to leave the National Camp without giving him any information. In fact, out of 45 women wrestlers participating in the camp, 25 wrestlers were absent during training at the Sai Centre in Lucknow without informing the Federation. These 25 women wrestlers include Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik (62 kg), Seema Bisla (50 kg) and Kiran (76 kg) who have qualified for the World Championships. The three have issued show-cause notices, which will have to be replied by Wednesday. Apart from these, all the remaining absent women wrestlers have been removed from the camp until further orders. They have also been barred from participating in the four non-Olympic categories World Championship trials to be held on Monday. According to WFI, Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar said, "We have asked Sakshi, Seema and Kiran to respond by Wednesday. Other women wrestlers who left the camp have been thrown out.
