Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's big hit release the most awaited movie of the year Tiger Zinda Hai has opened to a lauding response at the box-office if initial trends are anything to go by. The film, directed by Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar, has registered an astounding occupancy rate of 80 percent in the morning shows, reports Bollywood Hungama. Some reports even say that in certain multiplexes, shows the Yash Raj Films-produced action thriller is running houseful. Given the hype surrounding the film, the makers opened the advance booking of the film on December 17, five days superior to its release date of December 22. The step was welcomed by the cine-goers, particularly the die-hard fans of Salman and the film got the biggest advance booking of the year. Tiger Zinda Hai is running on 5700 screens worldwide, out of which 4600 are in the domestic arena. If trade analyst Akshaye Rathi is to be believed, the film will earn "anything above Rs 35 crore" on its opening day and will easily get an entry into the Rs 100 crore club within the first weekend.Made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, Tiger Zinda Hai will have to earn at least Rs 250 crore at the box-office in order to be declared a hit. First reviews of the film are highly appreciative of it and therefore, it is safe to say that Tiger will deafen everyone with its thunderous roar.
