New Delhi: Samajwadi Party MP and actress Jaya Bachchan talked about Bollywood in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. During this, Jaya Bachchan alleged that a conspiracy was going on to discredit Bollywood. Apart from this, she also said that the government should take action on this. In view of the allegations of Jaya Bachchan, now the Bharatiya Janata Party of Telangana has released its statement. On this the BJP says that "Jaya Bachchan's statement is completely wrong, she has not condemned the drug mafias in any way". Recently, Telangana BJP said that "Drug is spoiling the lives of youngsters and actors of the country today. But Jaya Bachchan has nothing on drug mafias and has not commented on the revelations that have been made by the NCB in the past". The statement states "It is shocking that Jaya Bachchan has given notice in Rajya Sabha that Bollywood is being maligned". Apart from this, the Telangana BJP questioned that "Jaya Bachchan should tell who is she saving. And till now what opinion has the Bachchan family held in this matter". Jaya Bachchan, speaking in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, accused people of conspiring to defame Bollywood. She said in her address, "There is a conspiracy going on to discredit the film industry. This industry gives direct employment to 5 lakh people every day. The country's economic condition is not good and we are being used to divert attention from things. We are being targeted on social media". Apart from this, she also targeted the Lok Sabha MP of Bharatiya Janata Party Ravi Kishan and said that "People who are earning a name due to that industry, today they are speaking against it here".
