If reports are to be believed then Sanjay Dutt and Farhan Akhtar are collaborating fall Ajay Devgan's home production film. In the film, Dutt and Akhtar will be playing the lead roles. It is a remake of the Tamil black comedy-action-crime drama Jigarthanda (2014). According to a source, “Ajay Devgn and the film’s co-producer Abhinav Shukla had bought the rights of the film last year. At that time Nishikant was keen to cast Ajay in the role of the don and Arjun Kapoor in the role of the assistant director but things didn’t work out. Ajay won't be acting in the film at all but only be seen as a producer. Now Farhan has been approached to play the aspiring director and Sanjay the ruthless don. They have liked the story and concept and are now waiting for the final narration of the script by next month. It’s a stylish action drama with the right dose of comedy and emotions and will have both the actors in exciting get up and looks.” Adds the source, “In the Tamil film, Karthik (played by Siddharth), an ambitious film director who is thrown out of a reality show on new filmmakers’ as his short film is disappointing. He believes he has the stuff to be a great director and plans a film based on the life and times of the notorious gangster Assault Sethu (played by Bobby Simha). Karthik makes his film and Sethu gets the shock of his life as Karthik has made his film a comedy – making Sethu a guy who achieves everything in life by crying. The film then shows how this incident changes both Karthik and Sethu’s lives and them too which they realize when they bump into each other in a final face-off. While the characters of the don and AD remain the same, Nishikant is making some script and screenplay changes for a more pan-Asian appeal.” Also read: Vidya Balan on being part of CBFC: I hope to fulfil my responsibilities Shoojit Sircar turned down the rumours of film with SRK Onlookers' demand for selfies after accident shocked Neha Dhupia
