Sanjay Raut slams central government over IT raids

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday again attacked the Central government over the income tax department's raids on the house and other premises of his aide Yashwant Jadhav. In fact, in his statement, Sanjay Raut said, "I think only Maharashtra has income and tax and in BJP-ruled states, there is no income and tax. The municipal elections are here. So the central agencies have worked only in Maharashtra and West Bengal, no work in the rest of India. "We're seeing it all, heaven is also watching and let them do what they have to do. "

Sanjay Raut's latest attack on the Centre comes two days after the Income Tax Department raided the premises of Yashwant Jadhav on charges of tax evasion on Sunday. In addition to being a Shiv Sena corporator, Jadhav is also the chairman of the Standing Committee of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). On Friday, Sanjay Raut had said that the raids on Jadhav were carried out before the BMC elections and the IT department will also raid peons working with the Mumbai civic body, as some of them wear the Shiv Sena's bow and arrow symbol.

He questioned that everything is fine in the entire country. On the other hand, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar also criticised the raids, saying that the "Modi government is using central agencies to "destabilise Mumbai and Maharashtra". The BJP on Friday alleged that Yashwant Jadhav was involved in several non-transparent financial transactions.
