Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani has signed her comeback film. It has been a trying year and a half for Sanjjanaa, who wanted to ensure that she picks the best script that would allow her to shine. This film, she says, is a multilingual project that is set to commence next month and Sanjjanaa has already begun prepping for the same. Sanjjanaa reveals, "The film is titled Manishankar and will be directed by G Venkata Krishnan. I wanted to sign a film in which the plot revolves entirely around me. After working in a serial like Swarna Khadgam for 112 episodes, which involved horse riding and sword fighting, I have had this thirst to do more women-centric roles." Apart from this, Sanjjanaa says "For me, it has been quite a journey; I've survived so many years. We often see actresses disappear after doing a couple of films, but here I am, soon going to touch 50 films. I have worked across all four South Indian languages, with a little work in Hindi too," she says, revealing that her new project will be shot as a multilingual and that the makers plan to release it in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Talking about the nature of the film, Sanjjanaa shares, "The feel of the film is going to be like Mirzapur and Gangs Of Wasseypur. It will be shot in the interiors of Andhra Pradesh." As for her preparations, she adds, "I normally get into the skin of the character around a week prior to the shoot. But losing weight has become my top priority now. The pandemic had shifted my priorities. With life also taking me on a rollercoaster ride, stress took quite a toll on me. I am now focusing on my physical well-being with exercise and the right diet."
