SAP India is the enterprise software maker. SAP India have recently launched an initiative program to call back women employees back to the workplace after a career break. Normally women employees take the career break because of the pregnancy period and later on as they see the responsibility of taking care of the child they discontinue their career. "SAP recognises that many of the women who may have stepped back from the paid workforce to focus on personal commitments are highly-qualified and experienced," SAP India said in a statement. The programme will offer project-based assignments and practical assistance to the potential candidates, it added. Each assignment will last for a maximum of six months and work will take place onsite or virtually depending on the nature of the project. "India ranks 108th out of 145 countries in the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Index 2015. Back-to-Work aims to reintegrate an untapped pool of high-potential female professionals back into corporate life. This initiative is targeted at eliminating the gender disparity in the country," SAP India vice president Human Resources Vlasta Dusil said. For all this SAP will provide considerable remuneration, flexible working hours and location if possible along with guidance in between for various processes.
