Saudi Aramco increased the price of crude grade, will the price of petrol and diesel increase again?

New Delhi: Saudi Aramco has increased the prices of its crude grades sold in Asia for March. The company has increased the prices of all crude grades. Saudi Aramco, one of the world's leading oil exporters, has increased the price of Arab light crude grade for its Asian customers by 60 cents per barrel in March compared to February. This represents a premium of $2.80 per barrel over the Oman/Dubai average.

A survey conducted by Reuters in January predicts that the company may raise 60 cents a barrel for its flagship grade in March. This rise in prices reflects strong demand in Asia and due to this companies are keeping higher margins in Gasoil and Jet Fuel. With this decision of Saudi Arabia, if there is more volatility in the prices of crude oil internationally, then its effect can be seen on the price of fuel in India as well. With the increase in the prices of crude oil, there is a change in the price of petrol and diesel.

Let us tell you that there has been no revision in the price of petrol and diesel in the country's capital Delhi since 02 December 2021. According to the information available on the website of petroleum marketing company Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 95.41 per liter, while diesel is being sold at Rs 86.67 per liter.
