The Supreme Court today is scheduled to hear the plea of convicts on 16 December Delhi gang rape case which has challenged the order of Delhi High Court. It will be heard by the bench led by Justice Dipak Misra including Justices R. Banumathi and Ashok Bhushan. In the Delhi High Court order, it has sentenced the convicts - Akshay, Pawan, Vinay Sharma and Mukesh to the death penalty which is now challenged by them. Back in 2012, a woman was gang-raped by six persons in the moving bus in which she died while undergoing the treatment. One among the accused hangs himself in jail while another man who is juvenile was convicted.
