Senior citizen was brutally beaten to death for protesting against sex racket

Kolkata: A a senior citizen was brutally beaten to death with sticks, rods and bricks by three people in Kolkata for protesting against a sex racket. The man was taken to a hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. 

According to the report, The 70-year-old  was protesting against a sex trade racket when he was lynched by his family members. The deceased was identified as Dukhi Halder. As per report,  a man named Shyam Haldar, his wife Chandna and his friend Mantu Halder allegedly used to run a sex racket at the house of the deceased. The people in the nearby areas said that several people used to come to the house.  When the deceased showed his disapproval against the ongoing activities, the three accused allegedly attacked him.

Seeing attack on old man, The neighbour came to the rescue him and took to a hospital. The man was initially taken to the Malda Medical College and Hospital after which he was referred to a hospital in Kolkata. However, the victim passed away on his way to the hospital.

Meanwhile, similar case came surfaced in Pune in which the police arrested two men for forcing girls into flesh trade. The police acted on a tip-off and tracked the accused in Viman Nagar, Pune. The police laid a trap for the accused by sending a fake customer. The police successfully rescued two girls. One of the girls rescued was from Uzbekistan.
