Sensex hikes up by 110 points after Asian uptrend

In early trade today, the BSE Sensex surged over 110 points, with domestic investors doing the job amid positive Asian cues while NSE Nifty hit 9,881.50, climbing 29 pts, or 0.29 per cent. According to the traders said, "A firm trend at other Asian exchanges served as a pointer of things to come. Speculators covered their short positions, which too supported the rally, traders said. Meanwhile, American Dow Jones Industrial Average finished by 0.40% lower yesterday.
