Indian stock benchmark indices hit a new record high for yet another day with Sensex hitting 50,000 points mark for the first time and Nifty at a record 14,706 points on Thursday morning session. On the Nifty, 45 stocks were seen in the green and there was seen traction in the broader markets which outperformed the headline indices with gains of over 0.72 percent on Nifty Midcap 100. Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, HCL TechBajaj-Auto, , IndusInd Bank, Ultratech Cement, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Tech Mahindra and Titan Company were among top Sensex performers. On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Housing Development Finance Corp (HDFC) and HDFC Bank were the index losers. All the Nifty sectoral indices were ruling in the positive terrain, led by Nifty Auto index, up 1 pc. The broader markets outperformed the equity benchmarks today. S&P BSE MidCap index jumped 0.69 pc or 132 points to 19,288, while the BSE SmallCap index surged 0.68 pc or 126.86 points to 18,870. Home First Finance Company (HFFC) on Wednesday raised a little over Rs 346 crore from anchor investors, ahead of its IPO, which opens for public subscription on Thursday. A total of 66.81 lakh shares have been allotted to 25 anchor investors at Rs 518 per share, the upper end of the price band. At this price, the company raised Rs 346.11 crore, according to a BSE circular.
