Indian stock markets have opened the final trading day of the week with moderate gains as market outlook across the Asia Pacific remains mixed. The BSE Sensex traded 262 higher at 46,229 while the NSE Nifty 50 index stood above the mark of 13,500, gaining 80 points to 13,559. As of closing on Thursday, both Sensex and Nifty are trading with gains for the week and are poised for their sixth straight weekly advance at around 9.40 am. Gainers in early trade have been ONGC, GAIL, UPL, NTPC and State bank of India while top losers include Adani ports, Divis Lab, Tech Mahindra, Eicher Motors and Infosys Among the sectoral indices, the Nifty FMCG index is extending Thursday's gains, opening 0.6 percent higher while the Media index is up 0.7 percent. The Nifty Auto and Nifty Realty index are up 0.33 percent each while the Nifty Metal index is up 0.5 percent. Broader markets are trading higher in the early minutes of the session. The Nifty Midcap index is up 0.4 percent while the Smallcap index is up 0.6 percent.
