It has been revealed in the report of sero survey conducted by the Indian council of Medical Research (ICMR) last month that Rajasthan has second-highest Covid Antibodies, ie to say 76 percent of its population has antibodies against the coronavirus. According to the report, a total of 1,226 random samples were taken from different cities in Rajasthan in June-July. Upon testing of these samples, antibodies were found in 934 samples. This survey report indicated the presence of Covid antibodies in the people of the state. The Sero survey report further says that the highest number of antibodies across the country have been found in the people of Madhya Pradesh, which is around 79 percent of the population. Rajasthan comes second after Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, the lowest antibody count has been found in Kerala which is just 44 percent. During the second Covid wave in Rajasthan, nearly 6 lakh positive cases were found in two and a half months (up to April, May and mid-June). More than 6,000 people lost their lives due to the coronavirus. ON the other hand, Madhya Pradesh leads the chart with 79 percent of its population having antibodies, while Rajasthan comes second with 76.2 percent sero prevalence. Bihar has 75.9 percent, Gujarat 75.3 percent, Chhattisgarh 74.6 percent, Uttarakhand 73.1 percent, Uttar Pradesh 71 percent and Andhra Pradesh 70.2 percent sero prevalence.
