Institute CEO Adar Poonawala has said that two different prices have been fixed for his vaccine. According to a Reuters report, the Oxford-EstraZeneca vaccine Covishield (Covishield) is under construction at the Serum Institute in Pune. But there was a lot of confusion about the prices of his vaccine. The CEO of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawala, revealed on Sunday the price of his vaccine. Adar Poonawala further said that he would give the Oxford vaccine at the rate of 250 rupees ($ 3.42) per vaccine to the government. At the same time, this vaccine will be sold at the rate of 1 thousand rupees in the private market. He said that this corona vaccine is cheaper than Pfizer BioNTech and its transportation is also easy. His company is making 50-60 million doses of the Oxford-Estrajaneca vaccine per month. Adar Poonawala said that by 2021, the government has targeted to vaccinate more than 130 crore people in the country. We are ready to provide the vaccine for the government. We have sent our proposal to the government. Now we are waiting for the contract to be signed with the government. The vaccine will be provided to the government within 10 days of the contract.
