Gopalganj: A sex racket has been busted in Bihar's Gopalganj. Prostitution was going on inside a house located in Harkhua locality of the city. On receiving the news, the police raided and arrested 5 persons including two women. Due to this a boy and a girl were also found in objectionable condition. It is being said that 'dirty business' was going on at this place for a long time. The women had taken this house only for prostitution.
Police also recovered 3 mobiles, Rs 500 cash, used condom, cigarette piece and gutkha wrappers from the spot. Sadar SDPO Pranjal told in a press conference held at Nagar police station on Thursday that the QRT team of 'Narayani' had received the news of operating a prostitution den behind Harkhua Sugar Mill. After that, women police officers included in the team kept vigil there in plain clothes. In the same sequence, after receiving some sources, raid was done at the said base with the help of the police of the city police station. Those arrested include Raish Ali of Mirganj under Mirganj police station, Ruby Devi of Harkhua village under Nagar police station and Rajanti Devi of Jagdishpur village of West Champaran district.
The raid team included Trainee DSP Sakshi Rai, City Inspector Prashant Kumar Rai, Trainee Sub Inspector Bulbul Kumari, Neelu Bharti, Aarti Kumari, Female Constable Sunita Kumari, Neetu Kumari, Riya Rani, Pooja Kumari, Reena Kumari, Sunita Devi and Preeti Kumari. . Sadar SDPO Pranjal told that the house in which Narayani's team raided was kept only for prostitution. Because when raid was done on the spot, carpet and sheet were found everywhere. This proved that the house was kept only for the sex racket by the prostitutes. SP Swarna Prabhat had formed the 'Narayani' QRT team to take action related to the problems of women. The first action is the exposure of the team's sex racket. After forming the team, the SP had told that the team of police officers involved in it would take action from the city to the entire district.
