Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was recently hospitalized at Ahmedabad's KD Hospital due to a heatstroke and dehydration. He has since been discharged and is recovering well, with his wife Gauri Khan and close friend Juhi Chawla confirming his improved condition. Khan is expected to support his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, in the IPL final on Sunday. This incident highlights the severe heatwave currently affecting India, prompting health advisories and warnings.

Shah Rukh Khan's Health Scare Shah Rukh Khan was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad after suffering from heatstroke and dehydration, according to India Today. Gauri Khan and Juhi Chawla, along with her husband Jay Mehta, rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news.

Juhi Chawla reassured fans about Khan's recovery, stating, "Shah Rukh was not feeling well last night, but he is being attended to and felt much better this evening. He will soon be up and cheering for the team during the finals."

Khan was in Ahmedabad for the IPL playoff match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad, accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan, younger son AbRam, and manager Pooja Dadlani. Juhi Chawla, Jay Mehta, and Suhana's friends Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Navya Nanda, and Agastya Nanda were also present.

Heatwave Across India The incident occurred amidst a severe heatwave in India, with Ahmedabad recording temperatures of 45.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, rising to 45.9 degrees on Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alerts for several regions, including west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, and parts of Gujarat, predicting extreme heatwave conditions over the next five days.

Rising Temperatures and Health Risks Private weather forecaster Skymet has warned of an intensifying heatwave, with ten cities recording the highest temperatures in the past 24 hours. Regions in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab have experienced temperatures between 45 and 47 degrees, with Sirsa in Haryana hitting 47.8 degrees. Maharashtra has also reported temperatures around 44 to 45 degrees Celsius.

Health Precautions During Heatwaves Though there hasn't been a significant surge in heatstroke cases yet, medical experts advise taking precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses. Heatwaves can lead to cardiovascular issues, electrolyte imbalances, and exacerbate conditions like diabetes and mental health problems.

The National Disaster Management Authority recommends staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol, and seeking medical attention if heatstroke symptoms persist. People are advised to stay indoors during peak heat hours, wear light clothing, and use cooling methods like fans and air conditioning to stay safe during extreme temperatures.
