Shah Rukh Khan will refund amount to the distributor after failure of ‘JHMS’

King Khan is known for his acting romance and drama, SRK had huge fan following not only in India but in the whole world, but recently released movie opposite to him Anushka Sharma ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ was the most worst movie of the year. Not only of SRK but Dabangg Khan also suffer same staff after failure of the movie Tubelight. Two of the biggest letdowns this year when it comes to Bollywood has been the disappointing box office performances of both Salman Khan's Tubelight and Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. Both the movies were riding on high expectations and sold at a high price based purely on the clout of the Khans involved in the project. But then they didn't work out as much as expected at the box office.

Compared to Jab Harry Met Sejal's collections, Tubelight wasn't a flop. It managed to gross more than Rs 100 crore at the box office capitalization on the Eid release and a good box office opening, but all it earned was around Rs 117 crore.

Unfortunately it was sold at a steep price, so while the producers were at a safe place, the same cannot be said about the distributors. When many of them sought out Salman Khan's help in this matter, the actor went out and compensated them for 50% of their losses.

Shah Rukh Khan has taken a page out of Salman Khan's generosity book and did the same in the case of Jab Harry Met Sejal. Unlike Tubelight, Jab Harry Met Sejal was a proper disaster at the box office, grossing just about Rs 60 crore, too low for a Shah Rukh Khan movie. The movie was expected to gross Rs 100 crore at least, and NH Studioz had brought it for Rs 80 crore for its All India distribution.
