Shahrukh Khan at TED talks talk about India and, its spirituality

Shah Rukh Khan at the TED Talks in Vancouver talk about India, its spirituality and its culture of spreading love and compassion.

The actor said, "Feeling a little brave just before I came here, I decided to take a good hard look at my face, and I realised, that I am beginning to look more and more like my wax statue at Madame Tussauds. I then asked the most pertinent question to humnaity and me, "DO I need to fix my face?"

He continued, "The land I come from, is a place of inexplicable but very simple, spirituality. India decided somehow, that I, the muslim son of a broke freedom fighter who accidentally came to the business of selling dreams, should become, its king of romance. The Badshah of Bollywood. The greatest lover the country has seen - with this face, which has been described as ugly and unconventional."

"A mystic poet from my land famously wrote, 'From all the books of knowledge that you might read - go ahead and impart knowledge through innovation, creativity, and technology. But mankind will never be the wiser unless it is coupled with a sense of love and compassion for its fellow being. If you are able to understand love, it is enough to enlighten mankind," the actor said.
