New Delhi: The election for the post of Congress President is to be held on October 17. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor may contest the election for the post of Speaker. However, he has not yet taken a final decision in this regard. But, soon he can take a decision on this. Tharoor has also written an article on the election of the President in Congress. In this, he talked about free and fair elections. Sources have been told in media reports that Shashi Tharoor is contemplating entering the election for the post of Congress President. If this happens, then Tharoor will face a direct contest with Rahul Gandhi, as many Congress leaders are persuading him to accept the post of party president. In this, the Lok Sabha MP said that the election for the post of Congress President should be free and fair. In this article, Tharoor has written that Congress should have ideally declared elections for the post of CWC member. Tharoor said AICC and PCC members should be allowed to choose who will lead these key positions in the party.
