Mumbai: Amid Vijayadashami celebrations in Maharashtra on Wednesday, there was a lot of political rhetoric. In this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde targeted Uddhav Thackeray. CM Eknath Shinde faction organised the Dussehra rally at BKC ground. Speaking from the stage here, Eknath Shinde hit back saying, "We have not committed treachery.'' In fact, since the time of Balasaheb Thackeray, Shiv Sena has been organizing a Dussehra rally every year at Shivaji Park in Dadar. At the same time, this rally was cancelled due to the Corona period for the last 2 years. However, when the situation improved this time, the Shiv Sena split into two. Subsequently, the Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions came face to face over organising the rally. When the matter reached the High Court, the Uddhav Thackeray faction got permission to hold a rally at Shivaji Park. The BMC, on the other hand, had allowed the Shinde faction to hold the rally at BKC Park. Subsequently, both factions organised the rally as a show of strength. Speaking from the dais at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) ground, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde raised slogans of Shivaji, Balasaheb Thackeray. Balasaheb Thackeray's second son Jaidev Thackeray also attended his rally. Addressing the rally, Eknath Shinde said, "Proudly say we are Hindus. Even after being CM, I am an ordinary worker. You supported Balasaheb's ideas. Balasaheb's thoughts are with us.'' Attacking Uddhav Thackeray, he said that Uddhav kept dancing to the tune of Congress-NCP. Voters in the state elected Shiv Sena and BJP in the 2019 assembly elections, but Thackeray joined hands with Congress and NCP to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and betrayed the people. He said the huge crowd at his Dussehra rally was enough to show who are the true inheritors of Bal Thackeray's legacy. Shinde criticised Uddhav Thackeray, saying the Sena was not a "private limited company" and the organisation was built with the hard work of ordinary Shiv Sena workers. They have not betrayed.
