Sena won't side with BJP even if offered Indra's throne: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: The path of formation of a new government in Maharashtra seems to be clear. Senior Congress leaders Ahmed Patel, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal will arrive in Mumbai on Friday afternoon to finalize the roadmap for the formation of the government and the points related to the Common Minimum Program.

According to sources, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has asked Congress leaders to go to Mumbai. Today, the Congress-NCP will have a meeting with the Shiv Sena, in which the alliance may be finalized. The alliance will be announced only after the meeting. Former CM of the state Prithviraj Chavan has said that there will be a churn in Mumbai today about what the new government will be. There was talk of making Uddhav Thackeray as the chief minister, but according to sources, he is not ready for this.

According to sources, Congress and NCP will have deputy chief ministers. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has said that even if Shiv Sena gets the throne of Lord Indra,it will not go with the BJP. Raut told the press that when the three-party alliance with Congress and NCP comes to power, his party will get the post of CM of Maharashtra. There was speculation that the BJP was ready to share the chief minister's post with the Shiv Sena.
