Delhi: Shiv Sena warns Central government over violence in tractor march

Mumbai: Shiv Sena, in its mouthpiece Saamana editorial, has warned the Centre's Narendra Modi government that if the government does not back down on agricultural laws, people in India will take to the streets like Russia. Shiv Sena has written in the Saamana that if the government had retreated on agricultural laws, what would have been the disaster.

If the government does not understand, people in India, like Russia, will take to the streets. In Russia, there is a large-scale agitation against the arrest of President Vladimir Putin's opponent Alexey Navalny and people have taken to the streets. Shiv Sena has said that the government does not understand the public's resentment. GST, demonetisation and lockdown have caused widespread anger among the people, with farmers reaching Delhi yesterday. This is not making the country a perfect image. The situation that has arisen since the January 26 demonstration raises the question of whether we are truly a democracy.

On Tuesday, Sanjay Raut had said that whatever happened in Delhi is a matter of national shame, if the central government accepted the demand of the farmers, it could have been avoided. The Shiv Sena leader said that what happened in Delhi is a complete intelligence failure.
