The show which is based on the life of Rani Rashmoni quickly gained popularity among Bengali audiences. The character of Babu Raj Chandra was played by actor Gazi Abdun Noor in the programme. Noor and Ditipriya became household names because of the film 'Rani Rashmoni.' Ditipriya, who was only a teenager at the time, impressed the Bengali audience with her portrayal of Rashmoni.
