Should have beaten Goa twice: EB coach Fowler

Margao: SC East Bengal played out a 1-1 draw against FC Goa on Friday in the ongoing seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL). After this draw, SC East Bengal head coach Robbie Fowler feels his team should have defeated  opponent team for the second time

At the post-match press conference, Fowler said, "Performance-wise, we were outstanding in the second half against FC Goa as well as against Mumbai City FC in the last game. We have played Goa twice and we should have beaten them twice. This shows how well we have done." He further added, "We are a team that has massively improved. It's a game that we dominated, and we had a lot of chances but could not put them into the net. There are a lot of positives but the only negative is that we have not won the game and we missed a few chances." On the other hand, the Guars assistant coach Clifford Miranda was satisfied with the one point.

SC East Bengal is currently tenth on the league table. SC East Bengal will next face Bengaluru FC on Tuesday. On the other hand, FC Goa will now take on NorthEast United FC on February 4.
