In the realms of the Hindu calendar, the sacred month of 'Sawan,' also known as 'Shravan,' holds immense significance, marking the fifth month of the lunar calendar. It stands as one of the most revered periods in the entire year. This year, the observance of Shravan extends beyond the usual one-month duration, encompassing two months of divine sanctity. A similar prolonged observance occurred nearly two decades ago, approximately 19 years in the past. The commencement of this sacred period is heralded by the first fasting Monday on July 10, while its culmination graces the final Monday fast on August 28. Traditionally, this month refrains from witnessing any auspicious ceremonies or new endeavors.
