Suvendu Adhikari's brother can also join BJP, says, 'Lotus will bloom in every house'

Kolkata: In West Bengal, there is a political upheaval before the assembly elections. Recently, Suvendu Adhikari, who quit the TMC and joined the BJP, has indicated that the Trinamool leader and his brother Soumendu will join the BJP along with the workers. He said that now the lotus will bloom in every house.

Recently Soumendu was removed as the administrator of Kontai Municipality. He has challenged the decision to be removed from the post of Speaker in the Calcutta High Court. Suvendu said in a meeting in East Medinipur that Soumendu along with some councillors and 5,000 workers of the Trinamool Congress would take over BJP membership on the day. On the occasion of TMC Foundation Day, he said, "My younger brother Soumendu will join BJP in Kontai. The Trinamool Congress will collapse soon." Soumendu had said on Thursday that lotus would blossom in every house, indicating that he could join the BJP following the footsteps of his brother.

Earlier, Suvendu Adhikari responded to a statement by TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee addressing a rally in Khardah. Abhishek Banerjee had said how can he claim to win the whole of Bengal for BJP when he cannot feed lotus in his house. In response, Suvendu Adhikari said that it is still a long time, Ramnavmi has not been celebrated yet and the lotus will bloom in my family.
