Singer suddenly fell unconscious in live concert, died

The popular face of Malayalam music and veteran singer Edava Bashir has bid goodbye to the world. The 78-year-old singer lost his life during a live performance on stage. He was a part of a programme to mark the golden jubilee of the Blue Diamond Orchestra Troupe at Alappuzha in Kerala. In the meantime, he fell on the stage singing. After the fall, he was taken to a private hospital in Cherthala, but his life could not be saved. He is a native of Adva in Thiruvananthapuram.

The incident took place at 9:30 p.m. He has been the chief guest at this event. He has said Yesudas's song on the stage - Mana Hai Tum Ho  Bahut Haseen. As soon as the song ended, he fell unconscious. The program was immediately discontinued. The video of the incident has also started going viral on social media.

Born in Edava in Thiruvananthapuram, Bashir has gone to many film songs, but he is also known for his stage performances. He had an academic degree in music from Swati Thirunal Sangeet Academy. In 1972, he had formed the Kollam Sangeetalaya Ganmela Mandali. Bashir started his training by listening to the songs of Yesudas and Rafi. He won many awards in school and college. Sheer and his friends have also started the All Kerala Musician and Technicians Association. He was president of the association for a long time. She has made her debut in the film industry with the song 'Veena Vaikum'.
