Google celebrating Sivaji Ganesan's birthday with a doodle

In fact, today Google's doodle is dedicated to Sivaji Ganesan, one of India's first method actors and one of the most influential actors in the country so far with a widely accepted consensus. Today is Sivaji Ganesan's 93rd birthday and that is why Google has dubbed his doodle. Let me tell you all that on this day i.e. 1st October 1928, Sivaji Ganesan was born in Villupuram, a city in the southeastern state of Tamil Nadu, India, in the name of Ganesha murti. Then, at the age of 7, he left home and joined a theatre group.

Here he started playing child and female roles and then gradually moved on to play the lead roles. Then, in December 1945, Ganesan staged the great 17th-century Indian Maratha King Sivaji in his dramatic scriptures, and everyone was surprised to see his performance. From that day onwards, Ganesan came to be known as 'Sivaji Ganesan.' He made his on-screen debut in the 1952 film "Parashakti." He became famous for his unique and poignant voice in Tamil-language cinema. He became famous for his diverse acting arts. While among his most famous blockbusters and indeed a trendsetting, his 1961 film "Paasamalar," an emotional, family story, is considered to be one of the greatest amazing artworks and achievements of Tamil cinema.

At the same time, his 1964 film "Navarathri," Ganesan's 100th film, in which he played a record-breaking, nine different roles. After this film in 1960, Ganesan created history as the first Indian artist to win the Best Actor award at a prestigious international film festival for his historical film "Veerapandiya Kattabomman," which is still one of his biggest blockbuster films. Later in 1995, France awarded him his highest honour, the Chevalier of the National Order of the Legion of Honour. Subsequently, in 1997, the Government of India conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest award in our country in the field of cinema.
