Itanagar: The total number of people infected with covid-19 has increased to 16,888 after 6 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Arunachal Pradesh on April 13. A senior health ministry official said on Tuesday that four cases were reported from the Lower Dibang Valley district and two cases from the capital complex area. Lower Dibang Valley has the highest number of 17 patients under treatment. The Capital Complex area covers Itanagar, Naharalgun, Nirjuli and Bandardeva areas. There are 10 under-treatment cases in this area. State monitoring officer Lobsang Jampa said that no symptoms have been observed in others except 2 infected people. In Arunachal Pradesh, a total of 41 patients are still in the grip of infection while 16,791 people have recovered from the disease. The official said that so far 56 people have lost their lives due to the disease. The health rate in the state is 99.42 percent and the infection rate is 0.24 percent. He said a total of 4,17,356 samples have been tested in the state including the testing of 315 samples on Monday.
