Sonam tweeted and said, "Many people are asking me about the remake of Mr. India. My father was not even aware of any such remake, we came to know this on social media when Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted about the film. It is a matter of great misfortune that no one talked to my father or Shekhar uncle about this film. Both had a big contribution in making this film. This is very sad because Mr. India is very close to my father's heart and he worked hard for this film."

For they cannot use the characters/story without permission from the original creators of the film.'
