In a heartbreaking news for the football fans, South African footballer Motjeka Madisha died early Sunday in a horrific car accident. According to the official, the Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa defender was one of two occupants of a car that went out of control, hit an advertising board and burst into flames in eastern Johannesburg. The official described a horrific scene with one body burnt beyond recognition. He said that the footballer apparently managed to crawl out of the burning vehicle, but was declared dead by medical personnel at the scene of the accident. Before Madisha, defender Anele Ngcongca also died in a car accident almost two months ago near the eastern city of Durban. Ngcongca was until last month a Sundowns player too, but had moved to Durban-based AmaZulu. Ngcongca spent nine years with Belgian club Genk and was loaned to French outfit Troyes before returning to South Africa four years ago. Madisha was capped 13 times by South Africa on the back of becoming an established first-choice centre-back in a Sundowns team.
