Rampur: A fierce political battle has started about the rising prices of onions. Now Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MP from Rampur Azam Khan has said that onion eating should stop. Azam said what is the need to eat onions? Azam Khan said tightly and said that stop eating onion, garlic and meat, everything will be saved. Commenting on the prices of onion, SP leader Azam Khan said, “Stop eating onions, what is the compulsion to eat it? Our Jain brothers don’t eat. Stop eating onions, stop eating garlic, stop eating meat, everything will be saved. A Queen had once said ‘if they don’t have bread then let them eat cake’. Earlier on the prices of onions, BJP leader and Union Minister Ashwini Choubey said, 'I am a vegetarian and I have never eaten onions, what does a man like me know what the price of onion is?' In fact, there has been a political debate on the statement of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the increased prices of onions. Nirmala Sitharaman had said in response to a question that she does not eat onions. Let us tell you that onion prices have increased in most parts of the country. Onion is being sold from Rs 80 to Rs 100 in the capital Delhi and NCR. In some cities, onion prices have also gone up by 100 rupees. The central government says that most of the onion crop has ended this time due to excess rain in many states, due to which prices have increased.
