Mumbai: 143 Afghan citizens were sent from Pune in Maharashtra to Kabul in a special aircraft. Most of them were doing defense courses in Pune. These Afghan citizens were unable to visit their country since the lockdown started on 25 March. Earlier, the aircraft of Afghan airline KAM AIR with nine Indian nationals first landed at Pune airport. The flight came from Kabul to Pune via Delhi and traveled a total of 5,000 km. The purpose of this special aircraft of KAM AIR was to bring back its defense staff and some of its civilians stranded in India on behalf of the Government of Afghanistan.
