Spirituality is the power of India, it is wrong to link religion: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that spirituality is India's strength and unfortunately some people link it to religion. Addressing the centenary year of Yogoda Satsanga Samaj (YSS), the Prime Minister said that yoga is the first step towards the journey of spiritualism. Modi said that the world compares India on the basis of its population, GDP or employment rate, but the world has never known about India's spiritualism nor has it recognized it.

Spirituality is the power of India

He said, "Spiritual India is the power. But it is unfortunate that some people attach spiritualism to religion. Both spirituality and religion are different from each other. In this context, the Prime Minister praised Paramahansa, who went out of India to spread his message, but always remained connected to India.

PM Modi released special postage stamp

It is notable that Paramahansa had established YSS in 1917. Prime Minister Modi released a special postage stamp on this occasion. On this occasion, Modi recalled the words of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in which he felt that spirituality is the strength of Bharamsam and that process should continue. He said that the spirituality of the country has strengthened our saints, saints.

This comment has come out in the backdrop of Modi's remarks in which there is a debate about some political parties, especially those who try to polarize society during the elections. Referring to yoga, he said that it is the direct path of entry into the world of spirituality.

He said, 'Yoga is the entry point of spirituality to enter the world. Yoga is the entry point of the journey of the spiritual. Nobody should consider this as the last point because it is usually the entry point of the world of spiritualism. ' The Prime Minister said, "When a person is interested in the yoga and he starts to practice it properly, it always remains a part of his life. Recalling the path shown by Yogi Ji, Modi said that it was in relation to 'Mukti' but not in 'Inter-session'.

He said that Kriya Yoga of Paramahansa makes life within the human body activate the flow of energy. Recalling Paramahansa's last words, the Prime Minister said that his education is full of human values and compassion towards all. On this occasion a souvenir was presented to the Prime Minister in which the last words of the Yogi are recorded.
