In the recent cabinet reshuffle led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is appointed as the Sports Minister. On Wednesday, he did a surprise inspection at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) office at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital. He took to Twitter where he wrote "Surprise inspection of SAI @ JLN stadium. Known faces, offices. Good not good enough when best needed. Athletes first philosophy must prevail," On Sunday, in the cabinet reshuffle, he has replaced Vijay Goel, who is now made the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. He took charge as sports minister on Monday and said that he will focus on providing sportspersons across the country both 'suvidha and sammaan' (facilities and respect) so that they can improve their game and win laurels for the nation.
