Suhana Khan expresses happiness over removal of Fair from 'Fair and Lovely' Cream

Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, has recently praised Hindustan Unilever for the announcement of renaming 'Fairness Cream'. The company will remove the word fair from the Fairness Cream 'Fair and Lovely' very soon. Hindustan Unilever has also released an official statement for this. In this statement, the company says, "We are committed to all skincare portfolios including skin tones, which celebrates the diversity of beauty. That is why we are removing the words 'Fairness', 'Whitening' and 'Lightning' from our products and changing the name of the brand 'Fair and Lovely'. "

Shahrukh's daughter Suhana Khan shared this news about Hindustan Unilever on her Instagram Story. Shahrukh Khan had said during an interview in the year 2018 that "Suhana is 'dusky'. I will say honestly. My daughter is dark, but she is the most beautiful girl in the world. And nobody can tell me anything else about it". In the past, after the death of George Floyd, in America and many countries, a dispute started about fairness cream in India after protests during the 'Black Lives Movement'. After the slamming Hindustan Unilever has taken this step.

Actor Abhay Deol also reacted. He shared screenshots of trends and analytics on his social media account, in which Fairness Products was at the top. During that time, he took a dig at people promoting fairness creams and wrote in the post, "Fairness creams have originated in India over the years, first fairness creams and now creams like skin-brightening or skin whitening. Now many brands do not want to be associated with names like Fairness Creams, so now we will sell brands like HD Glow, White Beauty, White Glow, Fine Fairness. In these years, these companies have started paying attention to men, who now want to become fair and handsome."
