SBI issue new instructions, ATM cards of these customers will deactivate soon

New Delhi: If you also have an account with State Bank of India (SBI) and use the bank's ATM-Debit Card card, then you need to be alert. SBI Bank has tweeted that the customers get their old magnetic ATM-debit card changed. Customers have to do this work before 31 December 2019, as they will not be able to withdraw money from their old ATM-debit card from the new year.

SBI has tweeted that the customers who have old magnetic cards will have to be replaced immediately. Instead, customers will have to get an EVM chip debit card. Its last date is 31 December 2019. SBI Bank is issuing a card with a new EMV chip to avoid any fraud on ATM-debit cards and to make it safer than before. These new chip ATM-debit cards are now being made free without any charge.

Customers have to go to their home branch and apply to get this card. Home branch means the branch where you have an account, you have to apply for a new ATM-debit card. If you use NetBanking, you can also apply for ATM-Debit Card online.
