Steps to make famous health beneficial Kashmiri Kahwa

Kahwa is a traditional Kashmiri tea. It is flavored with cinnamon, cardamom, and saffron. It is traditionally prepared in a kettle known as a samovar. Tea is our country’s answer to every problem. In every corner of India, you can enjoy sipping tea. Kashmiri Kahwa is one of the great drinks to sip on cold winter days. It's interesting that you can enjoy it throughout the year.

Tea in India doesn't need any reason or occasion you can have it if you are sad, or stressed, or feeling cold. Tea is just another name of magic. Kashmiri tea is one name in the different types of tea which is known as Kahwa with a unique taste and aroma. It is a nutritious drink that is known for keeping the body warm and healthy in extreme weather conditions. It is made with cinnamon, saffron, cardamom, cloves, and dry fruits like raisins, walnuts, cashews, and dates. Since it has ingredients like almonds, it also helps in keeping the skin healthy and moisturized.  So here it is to make this healthy and delicious tea at home by following these 5 simple steps.

Step 1

Take 2 cardamoms, 2 cloves, and ½ inch cinnamon stick and crush them finely in a mortar pestle. 

Step 2

Now, roughly slice 4 -5 almonds along with a handful of walnuts and crush them in the mortar pestle. 

Step 3

Then, boil 2 cups of water in a kettle and add crushed cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, almonds, and walnuts to the water. 

Step 4

Also, add some dried rose petals in water along with a tsp of Kashmiri green tea leaves. Simmer it for a few minutes. 

Step 5

At last, strain the tea and pour the tea into cups. Garnish with some sliced almonds and saffron strands. Originally though sugar is not added to this tea, you can add some sugar to it if you prefer a sweet taste. Serve hot.
