A sub-engineer was purportedly caught red handed taking bribe, posted at a corporation office here was proof by Lokayukta sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a outworker to extend official favours.
Lokayukta Police Deputy Superintendent of Police K K Agrawal stated today, “R K Pandey, posted at Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Development Corporation office, was detained red-handed the moment he took Rs 50,000 bribe from the contractor last evening at his office”.
Reportedly, the engineer had demanded three per cent commission from the contractor for clearing his pending payment of Rs 40 lakh for a construction work of a Police Training School.
